HTC’s EDGE may be the worlds first ever quad-core smartphone, setting a new standard in the smartphone market. HTC recently leaked Edge smartphone which is expected to in March or April 2012 complete with NVIDIA’s freshly confirmed Tegra 3 Quad-core chipset. Edge is a premium handset incorporating the latest mobile technologies.
This smartphone supports and offers both 2G and 3G network at various frequencies. It has a 4.7-inches of capacitive touchscreen giving a screen resolution of 720x 1280 pixels with 16M Colors and also features Accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate , Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Mutli-touch input method, Gyroscope sensor and Touch sensitive controls too. It also believed to have using an advanced S-LCD 2 display panel that relies on optical lamination- where the panel itself is bonded to the fascia glass for improved visuals.
The new HTC Edge runs with Android Operating System v4.0 of Ice Cream Sandwich having a Quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and may come out to play sporting new HTC services including HTC Read Bookstore, HTC Play gaming hub, HTC Listen music store and HTC Watch movie portal and apparently will be one of the first devices to pack HTC Sense 4.0.It will come with 8 Mega Pixel camera having a resolution of 3264x 2448 pixels with auto-focus and Led Flash and will also feature Geo-Tagging and face Detection and will capture video at 1080p speed with its secondary camera you can even enjoy video calling. It’s a 3G enabled phone that has HSDPA 21Mbps spped and HSUPA at the speed of 5.76 Mbps speed. This new smartphone is fully packed with connectivity options, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and EDR.
HTC Edge also supports A-GPS and works at Java Platform with JAVA emulator. It also has Digital Compass, Active Noise Canellation with dedicative mic, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Twitter, Calendar, Document Viewer/ Editor and predictive text input. It will be available in Black color only with a standard Li-Ion battery and will have exp. Release in 2012, Q2.
HTC Edge packs with an internal memory of 1GB RAM and offers an external storage of 32 GB with its external microSD Card slot.
